My name is Joana Leventieva and I'm in marketing and operations.

I have numerous hobbies and if anything sounds crazy or intense I'm probably down for it. "Be brave enough to suck at something new" is my life motto. I spend most of my time reading but also enjoy doing sports. My favorite themes include remote working, time management, personal growth and development, and motivation since as a manager, mother, and workaholic, I need to keep everything in balance and organized without going insane. As more people around me (myself included) struggled with stress and dissatisfaction, I decided to start blogging again and share my tips and tricks on working remotely and putting your life on track.

I started this blog not just to share my thoughts on work/life balance but also to address numerous topics that are part of my everyday life: juggling family, friends, personal relationships, job responsibilities, etc., how to maintain your zen no matter what happens around you, how to prioritize without forgetting yourself, be more productive, less stressed out, healthier, happier.

We want to have it all: lots of money, a stellar career, perfect family life, unforgettable traveling experiences, and lots of friends. Having a good work/life balance is the key to achieve this target. Working remotely was the first step for me. The next step was learning how to be more efficient and productive with my time.

I've been working remotely for most of my career and I'm pleased to say that this experience has been an eye-opener. I have learned so much about myself, my expectations from life, the work environment, the way I spend time with people around me. The most important thing for me is to be able to dedicate a large amount of time to work without neglecting myself or my family.

Building and managing distributed teams have taught me many invaluable lessons. I have created a list of practices for creating and running remote teams, hiring the right people, managing their time efficiently. In my blog, you will find tips on how to identify your values, being more disciplined and productive, work remotely with a team from all over the world, motivating yourself when it feels like there is no end to the list of tasks, handling stress that comes with any big life changes.

I've always been curious about how people function, think, feel. That's why I spend a lot of time reading books, studying psychology, human behavior. I'm constantly trying to implement new techniques in both my personal and work life. I've learned that there are many ways to improve yourself and your relationships with others around you, it just takes time and effort to figure out what works for you.

I've always been very curious about various ways of solving problems; I love searching for new perspectives on well-known topics. Here comes my next big passion - startups and startup culture. Bringing a company from the idea to the market is not an easy task. I've worked with many startups and am currently the VP of marketing at Propy, where we are creating a blockchain-powered real estate platform.

I'm happy to say that I work what I love and this is my biggest motivation. This blog has been my endeavor to share everything I've learned and the amazing lessons I encounter daily.

As you see, my interests are quite diverse, so be prepared for anything! Welcome to leventieva.com
